The web design agency for Essex that builds pages for the towns you serve, not one homepage

One plan pays for the Webflow build, hosting, upkeep and SEO. It's from £189 a month. That's the whole bill. Your pages follow the towns you actually work, from Halstead and Colchester down the A12 to Chelmsford and Southend on Sea.

A page called Landscaping can't answer garden rooms Braintree

Plenty of Essex landscapers and garden room builders run a site with one page per service. Landscaping. Garden Rooms. Fencing. That's the lot. Trouble is, nobody searches for garden rooms on their own. They type garden rooms Braintree, or patios Colchester, or landscaper Saffron Walden. No page for that town means Google has nothing of yours to show, so it shows somebody else's. We give each service its own page in each town you cover. First we check which towns and services are worth it, meaning how many searches they get and who you'd have to beat. The research decides what gets built. A page that can't earn its place doesn't go on the site.

6 Essex towns from £189 a month, 10 from £249, SEO included

The plans are counted in towns, and Essex has plenty of them. Starter is from £189 a month for 6 services across 6 towns. For a landscaper that could mean Braintree, Halstead, Colchester, Chelmsford, Saffron Walden and Clacton on Sea. Business is from £249 a month and stretches to 9 services across 10 towns, so Harlow, Brentwood and Basildon come in too. Market Leader is from £329 a month. That's 12 services across 14 towns, for a firm that wants north Essex, the A12 and the A127 covered. Every plan has SEO included, plus hosting, the profile work and a monthly report. There's a 12 month term, then it rolls monthly at the price you signed at. The comparison is on our pricing page.

No long wait: the Essex build takes about a week

A site this size sounds like months of work. At a big agency it often is, with an invoice for each phase. Here it's about a week from the day your content lands. You send the services list, the towns and an hour of your time, plus photos of finished gardens and garden rooms if you have them. In that hour you talk us through how a job goes, from the first site visit to the last turf laid. We do the keyword research and write every page, from the Chelmsford homepage to the Braintree garden room page. Then it's built in Webflow, checked on a phone and put live. Content edits afterwards are included. Each week without a Colchester page sends those searches elsewhere.

Built by a Webflow Partner, not a theme with Essex dropped in

2 shortcuts dominate, and visitors can tell. An AI site builder gives you a page that looks like everyone else's. A WordPress theme has you updating plugins, and when one of them breaks, so does the contact form. We build in Webflow and we're a Webflow Partner. The pages load fast and are designed for phones first. Each one carries schema, so Google can read what the business does and where. Core Web Vitals are passed before launch. Hosting and SSL sit in the plan, and so does the upkeep, which means nobody at your end logs in to update anything. Nothing gets bolted on afterwards. Our Webflow versus WordPress comparison has the detail.

Garden rooms Braintree, patios Colchester: we count the searches first

Before any page is written, we look at what Essex really types. Then we show you. Landscaper Chelmsford draws plenty of searches and plenty of rivals. Garden rooms Halstead is quieter and easier to reach. Patios Saffron Walden may be a few searches a month that nobody has built a page for. Each phrase comes with its search volume and the wording people prefer, say landscaper or gardener. You also see who sits on page 1 today. If a phrase has demand and beatable competition, it earns a page. If it has neither, it doesn't, however good it sounds on site. So the research decides what gets built, and the towns aren't always the ones you'd have picked.

Halstead is 41 minutes from our Bury St Edmunds studio, Southend on Sea 96

Our studio is on the first floor at Inc, King's Road, Bury St Edmunds. Halstead is 41 minutes away, Saffron Walden 46, Colchester 55 and Braintree 56. Harlow and Clacton on Sea are 64. Chelmsford is 71, Brentwood 82, Basildon 89 and Southend on Sea 96. We're a Suffolk studio and we won't pretend to have an office in the south. For north Essex, we can meet at your premises or ours. For south Essex, video calls do the job, or we plan a visit when a meeting needs a room. The rest runs on the monthly report. Every town has its own page and its own research, including web design for Colchester, Chelmsford and Southend on Sea. If you sell online, see our Shopify page for Basildon.

Websites for Essex firms whose customers sit along the A12 and A127, not in one town centre

Essex is 2 markets sharing a name. North Essex runs from Colchester and Braintree to Halstead, Saffron Walden and the Tendring coast at Clacton on Sea, and it's market towns, farms and villages. South and mid Essex follows the A12 to Chelmsford and Brentwood and the A127 to Basildon and Southend on Sea, and it looks towards London and the Thames. A landscaper covering Braintree to Chelmsford sees both in a week. A garden room in Halstead on Monday, a patio in Colchester on Wednesday. Meanwhile the website has a homepage, a page called Services and a phone number. Nothing on it says Halstead, so when Halstead searches, Google shows the firm that did. We're on King's Road in Bury St Edmunds, 30 minutes from the border at Sudbury, and we build the other way round, with pages for the places you work. It's one plan, from £189 a month, with the hosting, the upkeep and the SEO included.

How many pages does a Essex website need?

A landscaper working Braintree and Colchester needs pages that name the town and the service, not one page called Landscaping. 6 services across 6 towns means a lot of different searches, and the research decides which pages get built.

  • 1Keyword research comes first, so we know which services and which towns people are actually searching for, how often, and who currently holds those results.
  • 2We design and build the site on Webflow, then build a page for every service and town pairing worth going after.
  • 3Every month after that we keep working on it: new pages as the research finds them, pages pushed up the results, and a report showing where you rank. The SEO is in the price.

Move the sliders to see which plan fits. Page counts here are an illustration; the research decides which pages get built, so nothing gets made that cannot win.

Search work in the price

Every Essex plan carries the research, the town pages and the monthly report, so the SEO is never a separate invoice.

About a week to build

Once the content lands, the Essex site is written, built in Webflow, checked on a phone and live in about a week.

Extra towns £15 a month

When the crews start reaching Harlow or Brentwood, that extra town is £15 a month and gets its own research before any page is built.

Futureproofs web design is a pleasure to work with. Luke exceeded my expectations with the new Grooming Gorgeous website and really took the time to understand my business, our brand and what I wanted the website to achieve. He managed to capture everything I had envisioned and bring it all together even better than I had imagined.

Grooming Gorgeous

Could not recommend FutureProofs enough if you’re looking for a web design and SEO team who actually get how sites need to work now, including ranking in AI search, not just Google. We handed over some genuinely messy sites and they sorted them out properly, fast turnaround, no fuss.

Sam D'Arcy

FutureProofs built the new website for my construction business Fowler Construction and I couldn't be happier with it. I'm a builder, not a computer person, and he made the whole thing easy. He took the time to understand the work I actually want to win, wrote all the content for me, and the finished site looks proper high end.

Jake Fowler · Fowler Construction

We engaged Future Proofs to support the build of our new website, and the experience has been consistently positive from the outset. There was a clear effort to understand not just the visual aspect, but how the brand should be represented more broadly. Communication has been straightforward throughout, with updates and changes handled quickly.

Jonathan · Latent Intelligence

We worked with FutureProofs to launch our website for Suffolk Clearances, and the results have exceeded expectations. He also set up our Google Business Profile correctly from day one, and within just one month we are already ranking on the first page of Google for key local search terms.

Luke was brilliant to work with — really easy to communicate with, took the time to understand our brand, and delivered exactly what we were hoping for. The website looks clean and modern, and the menu design has had loads of great feedback already.

Elliott Jackson · Suffolk Garden Maintenance

Our old site was a right bodge - slow, not great on mobiles, and no one could find the number to ring. Futureproofs gave it a proper overhaul in Webflow, sorted the content, and put clear buttons for services and quotes. We’re getting more of the right enquiries now they tidied up the Google SEO bits too. Straight talk, delivered when they said they would, and did a tidy job.
