Photography direction that plans the shoot around the actual job, rather than commissioning pretty pictures and hoping they fit later
Most businesses commission a photographer, get a hundred raw images back, and then realise they did not actually plan what they were shooting for. The result is a folder full of pretty images that do not quite fit anywhere on the website, do not work as social content, and have to be supplemented with stock photography forever afterwards. Photography direction is the work of planning the shoot around the business properly, briefing the photographer with intent, and walking away with a content set that earns its keep across every place your brand needs to show up. We work with a small network of trusted photographers across Suffolk, and the direction is what holds the work to the brand rather than letting it drift toward whatever the photographer happens to do well that day.
