A Suffolk Webflow agency on when to hand your existing site's SEO to someone else: 4 signs, 4 routes compared, and 3 free checks to do this week.

You might not need a new site. You might just need someone working on the one you've got, and an SEO takeover is how that usually starts. Here's how to tell, and what to check first.
Take a Stowmarket electrician. He's made up, but you'll know the type. A nephew built his 5-page site 4 years ago, the phone only rings from word of mouth, and nobody has opened Search Console since launch. Search "electrician Stowmarket" and he isn't there.
FutureProofs takes over SEO on existing sites, by consultation. We also sell Webflow plans with SEO included, so we're biased, and you should read this with that in mind. If your site already ranks for the towns you cover, leave it alone. This post covers the signs it's time, your options, and what to check before you give anyone a login.
Yes, if the site is sound and nobody is working on it. No, if it already ranks and converts, or if the platform blocks the edits SEO needs.
The electrician ticks every one. What's missing is a page for each service in each town, written from keyword research. Our SEO service page explains how we do that, and there's a town version for Stowmarket.

There are four routes. Which one fits depends on whether the problem is the site, the platform or simply that nobody's doing the work.
Read the catch column first. Doing it yourself is cheapest on paper and the likeliest to quietly stop. Leaving it alone is free, but only honest if you keep checking it still works.
If the site itself is the problem, the price page lists all three plans.
We'd tell you not to hire us in these cases.
The site already ranks and converts. Leave it. Paying to fix something that isn't broken is the easiest money to waste.
The platform blocks the fixes. If you can't edit page titles or add pages, someone can work on your SEO all year and get nowhere. A rebuild is the honest answer, and our Webflow vs WordPress comparison will help you choose a platform.
You only serve one town and already rank there. You've won the game that matters, so SEO help adds little.
And if you want a guaranteed ranking, we don't offer one. Nobody honestly can.
Usually, yes. If the site is sound and you can give access to the editing side, the work happens on what's already there. If the platform won't let page titles or new pages be changed, a rebuild is the sensible route.
There's no fixed price. We set it by consultation, because it depends on your site, your platform, and the towns and services you cover. Be wary of anyone who quotes a figure without looking at the site.
Editing access to the site, plus Search Console, analytics and your Google Business Profile. Give them a user role and stay the owner on every account.
Months, not weeks. A new page has to be found and tested before it ranks, and changes take time to show. Treat "page one in 6 weeks" as a warning sign.

These jobs are free, and you don't need an agency for any of them.
First, check you're listed as owner, not just a user, on Search Console, Google Business Profile and analytics. If a former developer holds the only owner login, sort that out before anything else.
Next, open a private window and search "[your service] [your town]". Note who appears, and whether you do. Then write down the services and towns you cover, and the pages you actually have. The gaps are your brief, whoever ends up doing the work.
Send us your current site and the towns you cover. We'll tell you which pages are missing, even if you never hire us. Start a project.
