The Barn Butchery

Premium butchery and farm shop near Bury St Edmunds. A story led Webflow site and local SEO that reflect craft, provenance and trust.

Founded in 2020 by master butcher Gareth Doherty, The Barn Butchery in Denham has quickly become an award winning name for dry aged beef, venison, deli favourites and hands on butchery courses. The brief was simple: create a digital home that feels as considered as the counter. We designed a modern Webflow site, organised content around products and courses, and strengthened local search so customers can discover, learn and enquire with ease.

At a glance

Industry: Butchery, farm shop and education

Location: Denham, near Bury St Edmunds

Services: Webflow design and build, copy and content, local SEO, tracking and analytics

Goals: Showcase provenance and quality, make courses and services easy to book, lift local visibility

The challenge

The Barn is known for careful sourcing from Suffolk and nearby counties, traditional craft, and an inviting shop experience. Online, they needed the same care: a fast site that tells Gareth’s story, surfaces signature products and services like deer stalking and butchery courses, and guides visitors to enquire or visit without getting lost.

What we delivered

Webflow redesign

A clean, premium interface with warm tones, classic typography and generous photography that mirrors the shop’s atmosphere. Built for speed, accessibility and mobile first browsing.

Clear structure for products and services

Dedicated pages for dry aged beef, venison, handmade sausages, seasonal boxes and deli items, plus service pages for deer stalking and butchery courses. Each page explains what to expect, answers common questions and ends with a clear prompt to call or enquire.

Story and copy that build trust

We told Gareth’s journey from apprentice to award winning butcher, highlighted local farming partners and explained the care behind dry ageing and game preparation. Testimonials and badges support the message of quality and traceability.

Local SEO foundations

On page titles, headings and copy shaped around real searches such as butchers in Bury St Edmunds, dry aged beef Suffolk and butchery courses near me. Location details are marked up correctly, internal links connect related products and services, and old URLs are redirected to protect any equity.

Booking and enquiry paths

Course dates and service prompts are easy to scan, with short forms and clear contact options. Visitors can move from interest to action in a single scroll.

CMS and easy editing

Webflow CMS powers products, courses, news and testimonials so the team can keep content fresh without touching layout.

Measurement Tools

GA4 and Search Console are set up with goals for course enquiries and contact actions, giving a clear view of what content drives visits to the counter.

Outcome and impact

The Barn Butcher now has a digital presence that matches its craft. Customers discover the range more easily, understand the standards behind the meat, and find clear routes to book a course or plan a visit. The site supports ongoing growth with tidy SEO foundations, faster pages and content that is simple for the team to update.
